     Recommended adult immunizations (age 19 and up), are Hepatitis B, Hepatitis A, Tetanus/Diphtheria, Measles-Mumps-Rubella, Pneumococcal, Influenza, and Varicella Vaccines.

Hepatitis B

     This vaccine is given in a three dose series. The initial dose is given, followed by another in 1 month, and finally a dose 6 months after the first. This vaccine will protect you from contracting the Hepatitis B virus only.

Hepatitis A

     Hepatitis A vaccine is given in a two dose series. The initial dose is given then another dose 6-18 months later. This vaccine will protect you from contracting the Hepatitis A virus only.

Tetanus/diphtheria (Td)

     The adult Td vaccine is recommended as a one-dose booster every 10 years to protect against tetanus and diphtheria.

Measles-Mumps-Rubella (MMR)

     MMR vaccine is recommended for those adults who cannot show proof of a second MMR. This vaccine will protect against measles, mumps, and rubella.

Pneumococcal

     Pneumococcal vaccine is recommended as a one-dose vaccine to be taken every ten years. Certain conditions warrant a booster dose be given sooner than the recommended schedule, so ask your Doctor or healthcare provider if you are unsure.

Influenza

     Influenza is recommended for ages 6 months and up. Influenza is a one-dose vaccine that should be taken every year. Children may require 2 smaller doses if it is their first time being immunized for influenza. The influenza vaccine will protect you from contracting certain types of influenza.

Varicella (Chicken Pox)

     Varicella vaccine is recommended for those who have never had a case of chicken pox. The adult schedule is a two dose series, and initial dose with the following dose in one month. This vaccine will protect you from contracting Varicella virus.
