The Physical Therapy Department is an integral part in the care of patients. Physical Therapy is beneficial in decreasing pain and restoring function for all types of disorders and diseases. It can increase healing while lessening the amount of pain medication needed. Physical Therapy can educate patients on safety and teach preventive measures that will decrease the likelihood of injury or re-injury.
The Physical Therapy Department within the Choctaw Nation provides services on an inpatient and outpatient basis. There is one Physical Therapist and two Physical Therapist Assistants, all licensed to provide care to eligible patients with a referral or a physician order.
